US Foods-Lexington secures $603 million defense food contract

Investing.com -- US Foods Inc. (NYSE: USFD), operating as US Foods-Lexington in South Carolina, has been awarded a $603,075,000 contract to supply full-line food and beverage items to U.S. military services.
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia announced the fixed-price contract with economic-price-adjustment provisions. The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement was secured through a competitive process that received three bids.
The five-year contract contains no option periods and will run through February 8, 2031. The contract will serve Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Air National Guard customers.
Funding for the contract will come from defense working capital funds for fiscal years 2026 through 2031, according to the Department of War announcement.
