US Foods wins $43.6M Defense Logistics contract extension

Investing.com - US Foods Inc. (NYSE: USFD) received a $43.6 million contract modification from the Defense Logistics Agency to extend its food supply agreement with the U.S. military.
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia awarded the company a maximum $43,585,769 modification to extend contract SPE300-21-D-3319 for an additional 364 days. The ordering period now ends on July 3, 2027.
The contract is structured as a fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement. The modification extends the two-year base contract that includes two 18-month option periods.
US Foods, based in Watertown, New York, provides food supplies to the Air Force, Army, and Navy under the agreement. The contract is funded through fiscal 2026 and 2027 defense working capital funds.
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support manages the procurement and distribution of food, clothing, and other supplies to military personnel worldwide.
