Investing.com -- President Donald Trump announced Monday he is sending border czar Tom Homan to Minnesota following the fatal shooting of a U.S. citizen by immigration agents in Minneapolis over the weekend.
Trump shared on Truth Social that Homan will travel to Minnesota Monday night, stating that while Homan "has not been involved in that area," he "knows and likes many of the people there."
The president described Homan as "tough but fair" and indicated he would report directly to Trump regarding the situation.
In the same social media post, Trump referenced an ongoing "major investigation" into what he claimed was "massive 20 Billion Dollar, Plus, Welfare Fraud" in Minnesota, which he suggested was "at least partially responsible for the violent organized protests" occurring in the state.
Trump also mentioned that the Department of Justice and Congress are investigating Representative Ilhan Omar, claiming she "left Somalia with NOTHING, and is now reportedly worth more than 44 Million Dollars."
