Trump to discuss leaving NATO with Rutte, Leavitt says

Investing.com -- President Donald Trump stated that NATO was "tested and they failed" during the Iran war, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on Wednesday.

Leavitt shared Trump's direct quote ahead of his scheduled meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte at the White House. The White House said Trump looks forward to frank talks with Rutte.

NATO withdrawal will be discussed by Trump with Rutte during the meeting, the White House confirmed.
