Trump says progress made on US Army base in Poland

Investing.com -- President Donald Trump said today that progress is being made toward establishing a US Army base in Poland. Trump credited Polish President Karol Nawrocki's leadership for the advancement.

"GREAT NEWS! Thanks to the bold leadership of my friend, Karol Nawrocki, President of Poland, major progress is being made toward establishing a U.S. Army base in Poland. If this happens, the location will be announced very soon. This will be a historic step for our Great U.S./Polish Alliance. Thank you for your attention to this matter," Trump wrote on Truth Social today.

Poland has been pushing for a larger allied presence on NATO's eastern flank following Russia's invasion of neighboring Ukraine in 2022.
