Trump says US Navy controls Strait of Hormuz after mine sweep

Investing.com -- President Donald Trump stated Monday that the United States Navy maintains control over the Strait of Hormuz and has completed mine-clearing operations throughout the strategic waterway.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said the US Navy is the sole force controlling the strait. He confirmed that American forces have conducted mine-sweeping operations across the entire waterway.
