Trump delays Fed chair decision while at Davos

Investing.com -- President Trump has not yet decided on his nominee for Federal Reserve chair and will not make an announcement during his visit to Davos, a White House official told reporters on Wednesday.

According to Bloomberg News, the president is still deliberating on his selection for the key economic position.

Prediction markets currently show former Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh as the frontrunner with a 49% probability of being selected, based on Polymarket data. BlackRock executive Rick Rieder has seen his odds increase recently to 25%, while current Fed Governor Christopher Waller stands at 13% and Director of the Council of Economic Advisers Kevin Hassett at 9%.

The timing of Trump’s eventual announcement remains unclear as he continues his attendance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
