Trezor reports data breach affecting nearly 14,000 customers

Investing.com -- Trezor said Thursday that personal information of thousands of customers was exposed in a data breach at one of its shipping providers.

The Prague-based cryptocurrency hardware wallet maker said 11,742 customers had their names, shipping addresses, email addresses and phone numbers exposed. Another 1,947 customers had partial personal data compromised.

The breach affected customers in the United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Colombia, Brazil, Italy, and Portugal who received an order within the 90 days before Aug. 8. The company said it had already deleted older data.

Trezor said its systems and devices remain secure but warned that affected customers could see more phishing attempts.

"We absolutely understand how serious this is and the potential risks it poses to our customers and are deeply sorry to those affected," Trezor said in an emailed statement.

The exposed personal data could be used for targeted cyber attacks or physical attacks against customers. Security firm CertiK reported around 52 physical attacks on cryptocurrency holders worldwide in the first half of 2026, up 33% from the same period in 2025.

The breach follows a similar incident at Toronto-based Coinkite Inc., another hardware wallet maker.
