Super Micro Computer stock rose 5.5% in morning trading Thursday, lifted by optimism around AI infrastructure and a strong session on the Nasdaq.
The gains followed a Goldman Sachs research note projecting the global AI server market could reach $1.3 trillion by 2030. The forecast improved sentiment across AI server companies.
Reports also emerged that Apple is developing M8 Ultra chip-based AI inference servers for enterprise and government customers. The development highlights growing demand for AI infrastructure, though it could introduce future competition for existing server manufacturers.
