Stord raises $250M at $3B valuation, launches AI research lab
Investing.com -- Logistics startup Stord raised nearly $250 million on Tuesday in a late-stage funding round that valued the company at $3 billion, while launching Stord Labs to develop physical intelligence capabilities.
The Series F round was led by existing investors including Strike Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Franklin Templeton and Baillie Gifford. The valuation represents a doubling from $1.5 billion a year ago, when Stord raised around $200 million in its Series E round.
Atlanta-based Stord provides an AI-powered supply chain platform that combines logistics such as warehousing and fulfillment with enterprise software. The company operates over 100 fulfillment locations serving brands including nutrition firm AG1, travel company Monos and apparel firm True Classic.
Stord Labs will function as a research base for testing agentic AI, robotics and automation against live fulfillment data to improve warehouse operations. CEO and founder Sean Henry said the company offers independent brands an integrated commerce platform that combines fulfillment, software and AI.
The startup reported revenue growth of more than tenfold over the past four years, with its software business expanding faster than overall operations due to increasing adoption of its AI and e-commerce fulfillment platform.
The funding reflects investor confidence in platforms that provide independent brands with technological infrastructure to compete with e-commerce giants such as Amazon.
