Saronic Technologies raises $1.75 billion, valuation hits $9.25 billion
Investing.com -- Saronic Technologies raised $1.75 billion in a Series D funding round led by venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins on Tuesday, more than doubling the defense company's valuation to $9.25 billion.
The funding round included investments from Advent International, Bessemer Venture Partners, Andreessen Horowitz and Franklin Templeton.
Saronic's valuation increased from $4 billion in February 2025, when the company raised $600 million.
Dino Mavrookas, co-founder and CEO of Saronic, said U.S. shipbuilding ability has declined over decades and the company is addressing this challenge with a new model to deliver autonomous vessels.
The new capital will accelerate Saronic's ability to generate new classes of autonomous ships and maritime capabilities, and scale U.S. shipbuilding capacity, Mavrookas said.
Saronic said the funds will go towards finding solutions to challenges in the maritime domain, including those at the intersection of surface and subsurface.
