Russia warns of rising risk of catastrophic clash with NATO
Investing.com -- A senior Russian diplomat cautioned on Tuesday that the likelihood of a direct confrontation between Russia and NATO is growing, with potentially catastrophic outcomes.
Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told TASS state news agency that European capitals are increasingly discussing what he described as the "looming threat of a high-intensity war" with Russia.
"As a result of this escalation of tensions, including blatantly provocative actions in the nuclear sphere, strategic risks are mounting, as is the danger of a head-on clash between NATO and our country, with all the potentially catastrophic consequences that would entail," Ryabkov said
