Russia and US to sign Bering Strait tunnel agreement Friday
Investing.com -- Russia and the United States will sign an agreement on Friday regarding the construction of a tunnel across the Bering Strait, according to Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president's envoy.
"Tomorrow we are signing an agreement to continue the design of the tunnel, the tunnel will be built," Dmitriev said Thursday, as quoted by the Zvezda TV channel.
The Bering Strait separates Russia and the United States at their closest point, with approximately 55 miles of water between the two countries.
