Raytheon secures $74 million in defense contracts for radar and engines

Investing.com -- Raytheon (NYSE: RTX) has secured two defense contracts totaling $74.25 million from the U.S. Department of War for radar components and aircraft engine services.

The first contract, valued at $43.25 million, was awarded to Raytheon Co. in Marlborough, Massachusetts, for 2,175 transmit/receive integrated multichannel modules used in the SPY-6 Air and Missile Defense Radar System. The work will be performed in Andover, Massachusetts, with completion expected by September 2028.

The Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is overseeing this contract. The procurement was conducted as a sole-source acquisition under 10 U.S. Code 3204(a)(1), with only one offer received. The full contract amount will be funded using fiscal 2025 Navy working capital funds.

In a separate award, Raytheon Technologies Corp., operating as Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut, received a $31 million task order for F139 Phase Two Year Four. This contract covers engineering services and non-recurring engine repair work.

The engine services will be performed across multiple locations including East Hartford, Connecticut; Travis Air Force Base, California; Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina; McConnell AFB, Kansas; Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst, New Jersey; Altus AFB, Oklahoma; and Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The project is scheduled for completion by September 22, 2026.

The Pratt & Whitney contract was also awarded through a sole-source acquisition, with fiscal 2025 operations and maintenance funds being fully obligated at the time of award. Tinker AFB in Oklahoma serves as the contracting activity for this project.
