Investing.com -- Raytheon (RTX)(NYSE: RTX) has been awarded a $74,012,074 contract modification by the U.S. Department of Defense for fiscal 2025 Rolling Airframe Missile Mod 5 Guided Missile Launching System requirements and spares.
The firm-fixed-price contract modification is tied to a previously awarded contract (N00024-21-C-5401) and will be executed at multiple locations. Work distribution includes Louisville, Kentucky (40%), Ottobrunn, Germany (34%), Saint Petersburg, Florida (8%), Joplin, Missouri (3%), Denison, Texas (2%), Tulsa, Oklahoma (2%), Miami, Florida (2%), and various other U.S. locations (9% combined).
The project is scheduled for completion by September 2028. Funding for the contract comes from several sources: fiscal 2025 other procurement (Navy) funds totaling $58,115,093 (78%), fiscal 2025 shipbuilding conversion (Navy) funds of $15,154,000 (20%), fiscal 2025 operations maintenance (Navy) funds of $456,000 (1%), and fiscal 2025 German cooperative funds amounting to $286,980 (1%).
Of the total funds obligated at the time of award, $456,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C. is serving as the contracting activity for this project.
Raytheon's main operations for this contract will be based out of Tucson, Arizona.
