Qatar LNG facility explosion kills 13, injures 66
Investing.com -- An explosion at Qatar's Ras Laffan LNG processing facility on Sunday killed 13 people and injured 66 others, Energy Minister Saad al-Kaab said on Monday.
The minister stated the incident was an accident and ruled out aggression or sabotage as causes. An investigation into the cause of the blast has begun.
Al-Kaab said the explosion has not affected Qatar's export capabilities. The facility at Ras Laffan serves as Qatar's main LNG processing site.
The minister added that the blast poses no environmental risks.
