Pinterest stock falls as CFO Julia Donnelly resigns

Investing.com -- Pinterest Inc (NYSE: PINS) shares dropped as much as 3.8% in after-hours trading Friday following the announcement that Chief Financial Officer Julia Brau Donnelly has resigned to pursue another opportunity.


Donnelly submitted her resignation on Wednesday and will remain with the company until October 30, 2026, to support an orderly transition, according to an 8-K filing. The company stated that her departure is not the result of any disagreement with Pinterest on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies or practices, including accounting principles and practices. Pinterest has appointed Vikram Naidu, 40, as Principal Financial Officer on an interim basis, effective October 30, 2026. Naidu currently serves as Vice President, Finance and Business Operations, a position he has held since March 2024. In this role, he leads the company’s Finance and Business Operations organization, overseeing enterprise-wide financial planning and analysis.


His designation as Principal Financial Officer will be in addition to his current role. The company has commenced an external search process to identify Donnelly’s permanent successor.


Prior to joining Pinterest, Naidu served as Vice President, Finance, at Verkada Inc. from January 2023 to March 2024. He previously held roles of increasing seniority at Lyft, Inc. from 2015 to 2022, including Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis from 2019 to 2021, and Vice President, Finance from 2021 to 2022.
