OpenAI launches Premium tier for ChatGPT Business at $125 monthly

Investing.com -- OpenAI introduced a Premium seat option for ChatGPT Business users on Monday, offering five times more usage capacity than standard subscriptions for $125 per user per month.

The new Premium tier eliminates the five-hour usage limit and allows annual billing at $100 per user per month. Standard seats remain priced at $25 monthly or $20 annually per user.

Workspace owners can combine both seat types within the same business workspace and assign different tiers to team members based on their usage needs. The Premium tier features predictable weekly usage resets and allows businesses to purchase additional shared workspace credits when needed.

OpenAI said the new tier responds to requests from ChatGPT Business customers seeking expanded capacity for tasks including inventory management, marketing campaign development, business performance analysis, customer experience improvements, and product development.

The company is offering a limited-time promotion to the first 10,000 eligible ChatGPT Business customers who join the waitlist. Participants will receive $100 worth of workspace credits, equivalent to 2,500 credits, for each Premium seat added, up to five seats totaling $500 in credits.

The promotion runs through August 20. Some customers who sign up may receive early access to Premium seats before the general release. Workspace owners must use the email address associated with their ChatGPT Business account to qualify for the offer.
