OpenAI launches ChatGPT program for small businesses
Investing.com -- OpenAI announced Tuesday the launch of its ChatGPT for small businesses program, designed to help small business owners increase productivity and scale their operations using AI tools.
The program includes several components aimed at supporting small business growth. Virtual training sessions will offer product-specific webinars demonstrating how small businesses can use ChatGPT Work in daily operations, with demos covering accounting, marketing, and ecommerce use cases.
OpenAI will also host in-person small business AI academies across the United States. These events will bring together local business owners for guided instruction and hands-on exercises. At last year's Small Business AI Jams, 78% of participants built a functional AI workflow in a single day, and 42% saved more than five hours weekly with AI assistance.
The program will provide new guides including customer stories, interactive guides for ChatGPT Work, and short-form videos with specific prompts and examples. Small businesses will also gain access to new agents and partnerships with companies including Dropbox, Shopify, Intuit, Slack, Atlassian, and Wix, featuring skills built for common small business workflows and exclusive promotions.
"ChatGPT has been so much more than a way to get work done faster. It has strengthened the way I think—not by telling me what to do, but by helping me unlock ideas I never thought possible," said Marina Petrova, CEO and Co-Founder of Intentful.ai.
ChatGPT Work, recently announced by OpenAI, can complete multi-step tasks and connect to various business applications and files. The service is powered by GPT-5.6 and is available to businesses of all sizes across all subscription plans.
