Omnicell looks at long-term growth tied to cabinet replacement cycle

Investing.com -- KeyBanc Capital Markets upgraded Omnicell to Overweight, saying the company is positioned for stronger revenue and earnings growth over the coming years as it enters in a potential multi year upgrade cycle.

KeyBanc said Omnicell could benefit from a combination of competitive share gains within the automated dispensing cabinet market and a wave of replacements as older cabinets reach end of life.




Omnicell’s new Titan XT cabinets is a strategic inflection, according to analysts. Titan XT is positioned as an enterprise platform that can connect across devices, support centralized operations and use more advanced software and AI driven tools to streamline pharmacy workflows.

KeyBanc expects the new system to be priced at a premium to the existing XT cabinets, which previously sold for about $30000 per unit.

The broker anticipates upfront hardware purchases alongside optional leasing models, while software and services are expected to generate recurring subscription revenue.

For Omnisphere, Omnicell’s software layer, KeyBanc estimates pricing of about $900 per month including service and maintenance, above standard service fees.

KeyBanc does not expect Titan XT to meaningfully lift revenue in the near term. Hardware shipments are expected to begin in the second half of 2026, with most orders and deployments occurring after FY26. Software adoption is already underway among early users, with broader ramp up expected through 2026. KeyBanc estimates the addressable market for Titan XT at about $2.5 billion, up from the $1.8 billion opportunity for the XT platform in 2016.

Service revenue should be the largest contributor to recurring growth, supported by pricing adjustments and broader platform adoption.

The firm raised its price target to $60, based on 15.5 times its FY27 adjusted EBITDA estimate, and lifted forecasts to reflect what it sees as improving fundamentals beyond FY26.
