Nvidia GTC event: Here's what to expect from Jensen's keynote on Tuesday

Investing.com -- Nvidia’s upcoming GTC event in Washington, D.C., is set to spotlight new developments in data processing and artificial intelligence, UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri said in a note previewing the conference.

The two-day event begins Tuesday, with Chief Executive Jensen Huang delivering the headline keynote and hosting investor meetings.

Arcuri expects “an emerging theme to be the acceleration of the data processing market — the bulk of which is being done today on CPU.”

The analyst added that this market could become “an increasingly important theme with NVDA bringing its domain specific libraries to these markets — which are all very large.”

The note also highlighted Nvidia’s ongoing challenges and opportunities in China.

According to UBS, “NVDA has B30 ready to ship when and if the Trump Administration allows a more powerful SKU to ship.”

Arcuri explained that Nvidia previously estimated the Chinese AI market at roughly $50 billion, or about 2 million units, but domestic chipmakers can only meet “something in the range of $10 billion” of that demand.

UBS remarked that “NVDA’s public lobbying would seem likely to ultimately drive some new allowances,” especially in light of the company’s recent $5 billion investment in Intel “following the Trump Administration’s involvement in the company.”

Furthermore, Arcuri stated that the keynote and investor discussions will likely underscore Nvidia’s growing influence beyond graphics and AI chips, particularly in markets tied to data processing and computing efficiency.

The firm believes investors should watch for commentary on both regulatory and competitive developments that could shape Nvidia’s 2026 outlook.
