Northrop Grumman wins $34.4 million Navy contract modification

Investing.com -- Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. received a $34,388,301 contract modification from the U.S. Department of War on Tuesday to increase the ceiling of an existing firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

The modification allows for the procurement of additional UH-1Y and AH-1Z Helicopter Link-16 A-Kits, B-Kits, and related spare parts. The contract quantities will increase by eight UH-1Y Link 16 A Kits, nine AH-1Z Link 16 A Kits, 17 Link 16 B Kits, and spare parts including systems engineering, program management, and logistics support.

Work will be distributed across multiple locations, with Chicago, Illinois receiving 23% of the work, Woodland Hills, California receiving 22%, and Salt Lake City, Utah receiving 20%. Additional work will take place in San Diego, California (9%), Rancho Cucamonga, California (8%), Huntsville, Alabama (8%), Dallas, Texas (5%), Scottsdale, Arizona (2%), Rochester, New York (1%), and other locations accounting for 2%.

The project is scheduled for completion by March 2027. No funds will be obligated at the time of award, with funds to be allocated on individual orders as they are issued. The contract was not competed.

Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland serves as the contracting activity under contract number N0001924D0123.
