Lockheed Martin secures $211 million contract for C-5M Super Galaxy fleet

Investing.com -- Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) Aeronautics Co. has been awarded a $211,291,638 contract to provide technical and engineering services for the C-5M Super Galaxy fleet, according to a Department of Defense announcement.
The Marietta, Georgia-based company received the cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price, and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract action that includes engineering investigations, analyses, deficiency resolution concept formulation, proof-of-concept designs, and both laboratory and aircraft testing.
Work under the contract will be performed in Marietta and is scheduled to be completed by September 14, 2030. The DoD noted that $34,861,827 in fiscal 2025 appropriated funds have been obligated at the time of the award.
The contract was awarded as a sole source acquisition, with the C-5 contracting branch at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia serving as the contracting activity under the designation FA8525-25-D-B002.
