Leidos wins $85m Air Force contract for aerospace design

Investing.com -- Leidos Inc. has secured a contract worth up to $85 million from the U.S. Department of War for aerospace systems design research, the department announced Friday.

The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract covers Digital System-Level Mission-Driven Integrated Design Methods for Aerospace Systems. The work includes research on vehicle system design products and thermal management system design methods.

Leidos will perform the work in Dayton, Ohio. The contract runs through Sept. 18, 2036.

Eight companies submitted offers for the competitive acquisition. The Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio awarded the contract.

The first task order under the contract receives incremental funding of $75,000 from fiscal 2026 research and development funds. No funds are obligated to the basic contract itself.
