L3Harris (LHX) secures $34.4 million contract for P-8A bomb rack units

Investing.com -- L3Harris Technologies Inc. (NYSE: LHX) has been awarded a $34,440,103 firm-fixed-price contract by the U.S. Department of Defense for bomb rack units for P-8A aircraft.

The contract covers the production and delivery of 31 BRU-75A and BRU-76A Bomb Rack Unit shipsets for P-8A Lot 13 aircraft. The order includes 14 units for the U.S. Navy, 14 for the Canadian government, and three for the German government.

Work on the contract will be performed at L3Harris facilities in Amityville, New York, with completion expected by March 2030.

The U.S. Navy will contribute $15,553,595 in fiscal 2024 aircraft procurement funds toward the contract, while Foreign Military Sales customer funds will account for the remaining $18,886,508. None of these funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The contract was awarded without competition by the Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland, under contract number N0001925C0100.
