L3 Technologies and L3Harris secure defense contracts worth $363 million

Investing.com -- L3 Technologies Inc. has been awarded a $283.3 million contract by the U.S. Department of War for ground control element support and sustainment services.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will provide logistics support and sustainment services to maintain and enhance element systems and ancillary capabilities. Work will be conducted at the company's Salt Lake City, Utah facility and is scheduled to be completed by January 29, 2031.
The contract was awarded as a sole source acquisition, with $3.5 million in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds being obligated initially. The Air Force Command, Control, Communication, and Battle Management Portfolio Acquisition Executive Office at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts is managing the contract.
In a separate award, L3Harris Technologies Inc. (NYSE: LHX) received an $80.27 million modification to an existing contract for the National Space Defense Center and Distributed Space Command and Control System Sustainment. This modification represents Option Year Seven of the agreement and increases the total contract value to $1.59 billion from $1.51 billion.
The L3Harris contract covers depot-level maintenance, mission software support, hardware modification support, engineering analysis, cybersecurity support, and technical data management with limited supply support. Work will be performed across multiple locations including Colorado Springs, Colorado; Vandenberg Space Force Base, California; and Dahlgren, Virginia, with completion expected by January 31, 2027.
For this contract, the government is obligating $78.3 million in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds and $1.2 million in fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funds. The Space Systems Command Directorate of Contracting at Peterson SFB, Colorado, is overseeing this contract.
