Investing.com -- The European Commission cleared Kimberly-Clark's purchase of Kenvue on Tuesday after the tissue and diaper manufacturer agreed to sell certain feminine hygiene products to address competition concerns.
The maker of Kleenex tissues and Huggies diapers will divest all its tampon and feminine hygiene brands within the European Economic Area as part of the approval conditions, the Commission said in a statement.
The brands included in the divestment are Kotex, which includes the Lidie sub-brand, along with Camelia and Record, according to the EU competition enforcer.
Kenvue manufactures Tylenol pain relief medication.
