KPMG integrates Claude across workforce of over 276,000
Investing.com -- KPMG has announced a global alliance with Anthropic to integrate Claude AI across its operations and workforce of more than 276,000 employees in 138 countries and territories.
The professional services firm is embedding Claude inside Digital Gateway, the software platform KPMG personnel and clients use for tax and legal work. All KPMG employees globally will gain access to the AI system.
"At KPMG, we're innovating and redefining how work gets done," said Bill Thomas, Global Chairman and CEO of KPMG International. "This global alliance with Anthropic reflects our shared commitment to responsible AI, prioritizing security, trust, and governance."
Anthropic has named KPMG a preferred partner for private equity. The companies will develop Claude-powered products for PE portfolio companies.
Digital Gateway, built on Microsoft Azure, serves as KPMG's main platform for client work. With Claude Cowork and Managed Agents embedded in the system, KPMG professionals can build AI capabilities directly within the platform.
"Building an AI agent to help clients adjust to changing tax regulations used to take weeks and required teams to switch between multiple tools and chat windows," said Rema Serafi, Vice Chair of Tax at KPMG US. "With Cowork and Managed Agents integrated in Digital Gateway, that same capability takes minutes."
KPMG will serve as a preferred consultant for deploying Claude into portfolio companies of PE firms. The firm developed new PE-focused offerings, including KPMG Blaze, which can embed Claude Code to help teams modernize IT systems.
KPMG and Anthropic teams will use Claude to identify and address vulnerabilities in critical systems, guided by KPMG's Trusted AI framework.
The rollout builds on two years of Claude adoption within KPMG US, including its AI and Data Labs and internal teams.
