Jim O'Neill to leave posts at HHS and CDC, Politico says
Investing.com -- U.S. Health and Human Services Deputy Secretary Jim O'Neill is set to leave his current position as part of a broader reorganization of health department leadership, according to a Politico report on Friday.
O'Neill, who serves as Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s top aide, is also the Acting Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The report cited two HHS officials and a person familiar with the personnel decision.
HHS General Counsel Mike Stuart, the agency's top lawyer, will also depart from his role, according to the report.
Both officials will reportedly be offered new positions within the Trump administration, though it remains unclear whether these new roles will be within HHS or at other government agencies.
