Investing.com -- Iran's top military command said today that it will not permit United States involvement in managing the Strait of Hormuz. The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued the warning in a statement released through state media.

The military command stated that any U.S. military effort to pass through the strait outside routes designated by Tehran and without coordination with Iranian armed forces will face strong resistance.

The statement also warned regional countries that any cooperation with the U.S. will be viewed as an act of war against Iran. The military command added that if conflict expands, it will affect all countries in the region, placing responsibility on the U.S. and its allies.
