Investing.com -- IHeartMedia Inc has settled a Federal Communications Commission investigation into claims that its radio stations pressured musicians to appear at station-hosted concerts and festivals in return for increased airtime for their music, the agency announced Thursday.
The FCC said iHeartMedia, which operates the largest number of radio stations in the United States, accepted a consent decree requiring strict disclosure procedures regarding the connection between airplay and live event performances to prevent "no prohibited pressure or relationships."
