General Electric Aerospace wins $1.4 billion Navy contract for CH-53K engines

Investing.com -- General Electric Aerospace (NYSE: GE) has been awarded a $1.4 billion contract modification to produce turboshaft engines for the U.S. Marine Corps' CH-53K helicopters.

The firm-fixed-price contract covers 277 T408-GE-400 engines for Lots Nine through 13 of the CH-53K full-rate production aircraft, along with associated programmatic support.

The U.S. Department of War announced the $1,421,446,110 modification to contract N0001924C0019 on Thursday. The work will be performed in Lynn, Massachusetts, which is designated as a labor surplus area, and is expected to be completed by September 2032.

At the time of the award, the Navy will obligate $219,605,186 in fiscal 2026 aircraft procurement funds and $277,805,828 in fiscal 2025 aircraft procurement funds. None of these funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland, is serving as the contracting activity for this procurement.
