General Dynamics wins $49.3m Army contract modification

Investing.com -- General Dynamics Land Systems Inc. received a $49,295,084 contract modification from the U.S. Department of War for the procurement of Double V-Hull A1 Stryker vehicles. The modification increases the total contract value to $278,947,722.

The Sterling Heights, Michigan-based company was the sole bidder for the contract, which was originally awarded earlier this year. Work locations and funding will be determined with each order under the modified agreement.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Detroit Arsenal in Michigan is managing the contract, which has an estimated completion date of December 31, 2028.

Separately, General Dynamics Mission Systems Inc. in Manassas, Virginia, secured a $9,272,948 order from the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division. The order supports the development, testing, procurement, integration, and life-cycle support of cybersecurity solutions for Navy surface ship combat systems.

The cybersecurity work falls under a Small Business Innovation Research Phase III project and will be integrated into the Cyber Security Tool Kit. The Navy allocated $77,555 in fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funds for the project.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, New Jersey, awarded the order without competitive procurement. Work is expected to be completed in September 2027.
