General Dynamics wins $44.8M in defense contracts

Investing.com - General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE: GD) was awarded two contracts totaling $44.8 million, the U.S. Department of War announced Thursday.

General Dynamics Mission Systems in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, received a $31.8 million cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to contract N00024-20-C-5603 for sustainment of the Littoral Combat Ship Integrated Combat Management System and associated Combat System elements. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., awarded the contract with work scheduled for completion by August 2027.

Work under the Mission Systems contract will be performed in Pittsfield, Massachusetts (85%) and San Diego, California (15%). The Navy obligated $1.6 million in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds (61%) and $1 million in fiscal 2026 research, development, test and evaluation funds (39%) at the time of award.

General Dynamics Land Systems Customer Service and Support Co. in Sterling Heights, Michigan, received a $13 million modification (P00027) to contract W56HZV-23-C-0059. The contract covers operation and maintenance of a government facility and repair and sustainment services for the M1A1/M1A2 Abrams and M2A2/M3A3 Bradley family of vehicles.

The Land Systems work will be performed in Fort Hood, Texas, with completion expected by March 31, 2027. Army Contracting Command, Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, obligated $13 million in fiscal 2026 revolving funds at the time of the award.
