Investing.com -- General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) Land Systems Inc. has secured a $150 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense for the Abrams Engineering Program.
The Sterling Heights, Michigan-based company received the cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee contract after a competitive bidding process conducted via the internet, which resulted in only one bid.
Work on the contract will be performed in Sterling Heights, with completion expected by June 30, 2027. The U.S. Army has already obligated the full $150 million from its fiscal 2025 research, development, test and evaluation funds.
The Army Contracting Command at Detroit Arsenal, Michigan, is managing the contract, which has been assigned the identification number W912CH-25-C-0055.
