GM Defense wins $697.7 million Army contract modification

Investing.com -- GM Defense LLC secured a $697.7 million contract modification from the U.S. Department of War for engineering change proposals related to the Infantry Squad Vehicle Utility and Infantry Squad Vehicle Utility Winch Kit. The modification, designated P00053, adjusts the existing contract W56HZV-20-D-0066 originally awarded in 2020.

The modification brings the total contract value to $915.6 million. The Warren, Michigan-based defense contractor was the sole bidder for the modification, with one bid solicited and received.

Work locations and funding will be determined with each individual order under the contract. The estimated completion date is June 25, 2028. The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal in Michigan serves as the contracting activity for this agreement.
