GM's (GM) Cadillac unveils the 2026 OPTIQ-V

Investing.com -- Cadillac has announced the latest addition to its V-Series portfolio, the 2026 OPTIQ-V. The new model, which is part of the brand's fifth generation of V-Series vehicles, is expected to bring a youthful and vibrant persona to the lineup. The OPTIQ-V offers sporty luxury design and performance-driven power, with unique blue and carbon fiber accents inspired by the V-Series badge.

The vehicle, equipped with an estimated 519 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, can go from 0 to 60 in an estimated 3.5 seconds with its Velocity Max feature. John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, stated that the OPTIQ-V will be a significant addition to the V-Series portfolio, attracting new customers and emphasizing Cadillac's global impact.

The 2026 OPTIQ-V will be available in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Middle East, and Israel, with production set to begin in fall 2025. The vehicle will be the first from General Motors to feature a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) inlet, a move that signifies the company's commitment to simplifying the electric vehicle ownership experience and the shift towards a unified, open charging standard.

The vehicle's performance-focused design includes standard dual motor all-wheel drive and a driver-selectable feature, Velocity Max, that unleashes the vehicle's full performance capability. The OPTIQ-V also includes an 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack that will enable a Cadillac-estimated 275 miles of range.

The 2026 OPTIQ-V also offers a suite of performance-supporting technologies. This includes V-Mode, which allows drivers to save performance-focused settings, and Launch Control, designed for consistently thrilling straight line acceleration. The vehicle also features standard Super Cruise, the industry's first truly hands-free driver assistance technology.

The OPTIQ-V's exterior design elements include 21-inch satin graphite alloy wheels, a unique front fascia design, and iconic V-Series badges. The vehicle is available in two limited edition exterior colors: Magnus Metal Frost and Deep Ocean Tintcoat.

Inside, the OPTIQ-V offers two interior palette options and features an exclusive darker colored patterned accent fabric made from 100 percent recycled materials. The vehicle also boasts a 19-speaker AKG Studio Audio System with Dolby Atmos and a 33-inch-diagonal advanced LED display.

The 2026 Cadillac OPTIQ-V is expected to have a starting price of $68,795, excluding tax, title, license, and dealer fees.
