Investing.com -- Ford Motor Company are trading nearly 4% higher midday on Friday, pushing to new intraday highs, after the automaker reaffirmed its full-year financial outlook despite a fire at a key aluminum supplier’s facility.

The fire occurred Thursday at the Novelis Oswego aluminum plant, which supplies Ford with materials. According to Ford, the facility was evacuated with no injuries reported to employees, contractors or first responders.

Cold mill and heat treatment operations at the Oswego plant have already resumed as of Friday morning. The facility continues shipping finished material to Ford while Novelis utilizes alternate sources including its global plant network and industry partners to prevent supply disruptions.

Ford maintained its full-year 2025 adjusted EBIT guidance of $6 billion to $6.5 billion and adjusted free cash flow guidance of $2 billion to $3 billion.

Novelis earlier said it plans to strengthen the U.S. aluminum supply chain by building a new aluminum plant in Bay Minette, Alabama, which will begin commissioning in the second half of 2026.
