Investing.com -- Figma is launching a new feature called "Code to Canvas" in partnership with Anthropic that will convert code generated by AI tools like Claude Code into editable designs within Figma's platform.
The new feature creates a connection between AI coding tools and Figma's design process, enabling users to transfer interfaces built through AI prompts directly into Figma's canvas. Design teams can then refine these interfaces, compare different options, and collaborate on design decisions.
This partnership comes as Figma's stock has plummeted approximately 85% from its 52-week high of $142.92 reached in August, following its IPO last summer. The company has been caught in widespread selling that has affected numerous software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies.
Anthropic's products have been central to what Wall Street traders have termed the "SAASpocalypse," a significant sell-off in SaaS stocks.
Figma is scheduled to report earnings on Wednesday after market close.
