Ferrovial posts revenue growth in first half of 2026

Investing.com -- Ferrovial reported revenue of €4.7 billion in the first half of 2026, representing an 11.3% increase on a like-for-like basis compared to the same period in 2025. The infrastructure company's adjusted EBITDA reached €746 million, up 21.6% year over year on a like-for-like basis.


Net profit totaled €258 million, down from €540 million in the first half of 2025. The company noted that the prior year period included capital gains from asset rotation.



"Ferrovial delivered an exceptional first half of 2026, driven by strong performance across our North American assets. Our Construction division also achieved a record order book. Looking ahead, we see significant opportunities in complex greenfield projects and the growing momentum for P3 developments in the U.S., and we're confident in our ability to continue generating long-term value," said Ignacio Madridejos, Ferrovial CEO.


The Highways division generated revenue of €740 million, a 15.8% increase year over year on a like-for-like basis. The division's adjusted EBITDA rose 13.4% on a like-for-like basis to €530 million. The company received €357 million in dividends from North American operations.


In Canada, 407 ETR recorded 1.8% growth in vehicle kilometers traveled and 17.7% growth in revenue per trip. The asset approved a CAD 550 million dividend distribution for the third quarter of 2026.


U.S. Express Lanes showed growth in revenue per transaction that exceeded U.S. inflation. NTE transactions declined 2.0% while revenue per transaction increased 18.9%. LBJ saw transactions rise 2.9% and revenue per transaction grow 11.7%.


The Construction division achieved a 3.5% adjusted EBIT margin, matching the company's long-term target. The order book reached €18 billion, with North America representing 47.9%, Poland 22.9%, and Spain 14.0%.


Ferrovial completed equity injections of $1.1 billion for New Terminal One at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. Construction reached 92% completion. The terminal has 32 airline agreements, including 24 executed contracts and eight letters of intent.


The company submitted bids in July for the I-24 Southeast Choice Lanes in Tennessee and the I-285 East in Georgia. Ferrovial's bid for the D35 Highway in the Czech Republic was the most cost-effective among those submitted, with technical evaluation ongoing.


Ferrovial closed the first half with liquidity of €4.7 billion and consolidated net cash of €1.3 billion, excluding infrastructure projects. Consolidated net debt stood at €6.3 billion as of June 30, 2026.
