FDA commissioner Makary to resign, Kyle Diamantas appointed acting head
Investing.com -- U.S. Food and Drug Administration commissioner Marty Makary is resigning on Tuesday, Politico and Reuters reported, citing administration officials.
Kyle Diamantas will lead the FDA in an acting capacity, according to the Politico reporter. Diamantas currently serves as the FDA's Deputy Commissioner for Food.
Makary is reportedly expected to step down later on Tuesday.
