Exclusive: Webull expands AI tools to let users prepare trades without coding

Investing.com -- Online investment platform Webull will let eligible customers research markets, analyze their portfolios, and prepare trades through AI assistants such as Claude, Perplexity, and Grok, without any coding or software installation, Investing.com has learned.

The broker is expanding its cloud-based Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, a Webull-hosted service that links compatible AI assistants to its market data, account information and trading tools.

The update lets authorized users move from research to trade preparation within a single AI conversation, though every order must be separately confirmed through Webull before it is sent to the market.

Unlike Webull’s existing local MCP server, the cloud version requires no software to install, no API credentials and no access keys. Customers can connect an existing account through a supported AI platform and authorize the data and capabilities they want to expose.

Furthermore, users will be able to pull real-time and historical data across stocks, ETFs, options, futures, crypto and event contracts, research company fundamentals and filings, run screeners, view balances and positions, and have an assistant prepare an order.

"By bringing trading capabilities to Cloud MCP, we’re making it easier for investors to move from research to action through the AI platforms they already use, while keeping them in control of every trade," said Anthony Denier, group president and U.S. chief executive of Webull.

The expansion builds on comments Denier made to Investing.com last week, when he cast conversational AI as the newest way investors reach their brokers. "We’ve gone from phone calls to websites to mobile apps, and natural language is the next step in that progression," he said.

The service is initially available to eligible U.S. users through Claude, Perplexity and Grok, with access via ChatGPT pending platform approval. Webull said it planned to extend it to more markets and AI platforms.
