Exclusive: AIxC to exit digital asset treasury strategy in pivot to robotics
Investing.com -- AIxC Holdings is preparing to exit its digital asset treasury strategy and reorient the company around robotics, Investing.com has learned.
The Nasdaq-listed company intends to exit its digital asset positions in an orderly fashion and redirect resources toward building and commercializing a robotics operations business.
According to details seen by Investing.com, the pivot is being paired with a commercial milestone. RoboShare, the company's online marketplace for robot sharing and rental, completed its first paid order on Aug. 15. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The order covers a single event in Malibu involving six robots across three product types, booked by a Los Angeles-based rapper and content creator. Los Angeles is the first market in a planned ten-city rollout.
The company believes the rental model will help lower the upfront cost of robot adoption by letting customers access machines without buying them, with revenue drawn from rental and related services, and potentially from purchase conversion, resale and rent-to-own arrangements.
AIxC’s near-term priorities now include validating repeat demand and operating economics in Los Angeles, expanding the range of robots on the platform, and refining the operating model before further cities are added.
The company believes that by establishing a growing record of verified customer transactions and measurable operating milestones, investors will gain increased visibility into the execution and development of its robotics commercialization strategy.
