Elon Musk an "avowed" ketamine user, says White House chief

Investing.com -- White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles described Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) CEO Elon Musk as an "avowed ketamine user" in a series of candid interviews with Vanity Fair magazine.

Wiles characterized Musk as "a complete solo actor" and "an odd, odd duck, as I think geniuses are."

When asked about Musk sharing a post on X that claimed public sector workers were responsible for millions killed under Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Zedong, Wiles remarked: "I think that’s when he’s microdosing." She acknowledged, however, that she had no first-hand knowledge of any drug use.

Wiles also expressed criticism about other members of President Donald Trump’s inner circle. She labeled Vice President JD Vance a "conspiracy theorist," budget head Russ Vought a "right-wing absolute zealot," and criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The chief of staff revealed she was "initially aghast" when Musk "eviscerated" the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). "When Elon said, ’We’re doing this,’ he was already into it," said Wiles. "And that’s probably because he knew it would be horrifying to others."

Wiles said she confronted Musk, telling him: "You can’t just lock people out of their offices." She noted that with immunizations halted in Africa due to USAID program cuts, lives would be lost, and she received "frantic calls from relief agency heads and former government officials" warning that "thousands of lives were in the balance."
