Electric aircraft maker Beta Technologies files for NYSE IPO
Investing.com -- Electric aircraft maker Beta Technologies filed for an initial public offering in the United States on Monday, planning to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "BETA."
The South Burlington, Vermont-based aerospace manufacturer, founded in 2017, develops electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) and electric conventional take-off and landing (eCTOL) aircraft for cargo, medical passenger, and military aviation industries. The company has operates a network of chargers to power its aircraft and other electric vehicles.
In its filing, Beta Technologies describes itself as "redefining the aerospace industry" with its electric aircraft platform and propulsion systems that are "positioned to transform the aviation industry forward into a new phase of growth."
Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs will lead the offering as primary underwriters, with BofA Securities, Jefferies, TPG Capital BD, LLC, and Citigroup also participating, among others.
Financial disclosures show the company generated $15.09 million in revenue for the year ended December 31, 2024, while posting a net loss of $306.35 million, primarily attributed to research and development expenses. At the time, Beta Technologies held $302.03 million in cash and cash equivalents.
