Department of War adds Starshield AI's Grok to GenAI platform
Investing.com -- The Department of War added Starshield AI's Grok for Government to its GenAI.mil platform today, bringing new artificial intelligence tools to military personnel. The system carries accreditation for Controlled Unclassified Information at Impact Level 5.
The platform offers deep-thinking inference, multiple reasoning modes including Auto, Fast, and Expert options, and customizable workspaces. Users can access persistent projects and reusable playbooks designed to preserve institutional knowledge.
The Department said the tool will serve various functions, from market research analysis for acquisition staff to supply chain management for logistics personnel.
GenAI.mil launched nine months ago and has registered over 1.7 million users from the Department's total workforce of more than 3 million people.
The Chief Digital and AI Office and the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering oversee the platform's expansion. The deployment aligns with the White House's AI Action Plan.
