Czech Republic grants provisional approval for Tesla's FSD system

Investing.com -- The Czech Republic granted provisional approval for Tesla's Full Self-Driving system on Monday, marking a shift from its earlier cautious position on the technology.

The Czech ministry said its decision was based on experience from other countries, additional European data, and safeguards designed to monitor the system. The ministry had previously expressed concerns about speed-limit compliance and driver oversight.

The ministry said in a press release that clarification of specific issues relating to the safety and operation of the system was crucial to the decision.

Tesla said in a post on X that the system's rollout in the country would begin soon.

The Netherlands regulator RDW granted provisional approval for the system in April. Slovenia and Estonia approved the use of the system earlier this year.
