Cuba accuses Rubio of provoking military aggression
Investing.com -- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez accused US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday of lying to provoke military aggression between the two nations.
Rodriguez stated that Rubio is falsely labeling Cuba as a state sponsor of terrorism and attempting to instigate conflict that would result in Cuban and American casualties.
"The U.S. Secretary of State lies once again to instigate a military aggression that would provoke the shedding of Cuban and American blood," Rodriguez said.
The Cuban official maintained that Cuba presents no threat to US security. Rodriguez further alleged that Washington has deliberately attempted to cause economic collapse and social desperation in Cuba.
Rodriguez added that Rubio is aware that unilateral coercive measures represent the main obstacle to Cuba's economic development. The foreign minister said the US has engaged in provoking desperation among the Cuban population and the collapse of the economy.
