Investing.com -- CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) shares rose 1.5% Wednesday following the announcement of an expanded collaboration with NVIDIA to extend AI-native security from software down to the silicon level.
Under the new agreement, CrowdStrike will connect its newest AI threat-detecting tool with NVIDIA’s secure software. CrowdStrike also plans to integrate its security controls directly into NVIDIA’s hardware to physically block threats.
The integration is designed to track how AI programs communicate and operate, feeding that information directly into CrowdStrike’s main security monitoring system to better spot suspicious behavior.
"AI agents have created a new attack surface, and guardrails alone won’t stop an adversary," said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike, noting that the partnership will set a new standard for securing independent AI systems.
By combining their technologies on specialized NVIDIA chips, the companies aim to help corporate security teams quickly detect and stop AI programs from acting dangerously, even if the main software is compromised.
Justin Boitano, vice president of enterprise at NVIDIA, explained that keeping active AI secure requires protection at both the software and hardware levels. He added that combining NVIDIA’s physical chip security with CrowdStrike’s threat detection will bring comprehensive, large-scale protection to business AI systems.
