CrowdStrike probe closed by US prosecutors without charges
Investing.com -- US prosecutors ended an investigation into CrowdStrike Holdings Inc.'s distributor deals without pursuing charges, Bloomberg reported Friday.
Federal prosecutors and regulators examined CrowdStrike's handling of transactions since early 2025, including executive knowledge of the deals. The cybersecurity company disclosed in regulatory filings that the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice requested information about certain transactions.
Justice Department attorneys informed individuals connected to the probe in July that they finished their review and would not pursue criminal or civil action, the report said. They requested anonymity as they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
Prosecutors from the Manhattan US attorney's office did not provide explanations to involved parties about their findings or reasons for closing the investigation, the report added. The status of the SEC's investigation remains unknown.
The Austin, Texas-based company stated in an August regulatory filing that it was cooperating with DOJ and SEC requests for information regarding its accounting for "transactions with certain customers."
